QB to me, lived up to its reputation. Its simple, intuitive and very easy to use particularly for a non-accounting person. Installation and set up was a breeze. In our case, it offered a specialised non-profit version at a non-profit rate - one we couldn't resist. In terms of functionality, managing our books have not been easier. It offers a very informative company snapshot and together with the default reports, you have all the financial information you ever need.

Dislikes : None to share at this time. I have had zero reason to seek support. Updates have been seamless.

Problems & Benefits : Book keeping basically. And being a non-profit organisation with no paid staff, the more tools we can use the better. Our biggest challenge was reporting year-end financials to regulatory bodies. With QB, its as easy as running two reports.

Tools/Features Used : Capturing day-to-day transactions, invoicing, bank reconciliation, and reporting.

Switched to QuickBooks Enterprise? No

QuickBooks Enterprise Headed in Right Direction? Yes

Recency of Experience : Less than 6 months

Recommendations to Others : As a non-profit, I highly recommend QB. An online search can lead to organisations that help non-profits access software at a discounted price. Having used it and seen how easy and intuitive it is, I would not hesitate using QB for a for-profit business when I have one.

Other Comments : Whatasoftware is definitely an excellent one-stop-shop for reviewing and evaluating software in a growing field of applications. Even when you have decided on a given software, it still is a good resource to reaffirm your choice. Great site.
